Halloween kids costumes pose a concern where safety is concerned.

Be sure that the Halloween costume your child chooses is not only comfortable and allows unrestricted movement, be sure that it also provides optimum visibility.

Safety issues should be carefully thought out.

Does the mask allow proper vision so that you can see where you are going? Will you be able to keep your mask in place throughout the party? Does it allow easy breathing and does it have enough ventilation ot avoid getting all wet and sticky on your face?

Is there any danger to safe navigation associated with the costume of your choice? Any loose material could be a hazard. A fluttering piece of fabric for wings or other decoration.

Is the costume in question visible to drivers in cars out late on Halloween night? Will your child be safe during trick or treating? White or light colored costumes help here, or reflector tape on the outfit (if your child will leave it in place). Another great alternative is a light up costume with fiber optic lights.

Lastly, but not leastly, get a costume that you enjoy and that you feel good in. Halloween is great fun, expecially when you have a costume that not only keeps you safe from danger but also shows the world how sexy and beautiful you are.
